Nycomed to Shift EU API Production to India

Pharmaceutical firm Nycomed (Zurich) plans to transfer production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) from facilities at Linz, Austria and Singen, Germany to the company’s Zydus Nycomed (Mumbai) joint venture during the next 3-4 years. Zydus Cadila (Ahmedabad, India), Nycomed’s partner in Zydus Nycomed, says that the jv will become an API manufacturing hub.
