Merck & Co. to Acquire Schering-Plough for $41 Billion

Merck & Co (Whitehouse Station, NJ) has agreed to acquire Schering-Plough (Kenilworth, NJ) for about $41.1 billion in stock and cash. The deal, which is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter, will create a mega-pharma company with combined sales of $47 billion.
