Informex: Helsinn Buys Biopharma Producer

Helsinn (Lugano Switzerland), a pharmaceuticals developer and manufacturer, has disclosed during the Informex expo running this week in San Francisco that it has acquired Sapphire Therapeutics (Bridgewater, NJ), a biopharmaceutical company. Financial terms were not disclosed. The business has been renamed Helsinn Therapeutics.   Sapphire has R&D facilities and commercial operations.
