Indian Firms Record Extraordinary Growth

Leading pharma and fine chemical companies from India have announced record breaking financial results for calendar year 2006. India’s largest pharma company, Ranbaxy Laboratories (Gurgaon), has recorded a doubling of net profit to $117 million in 2006, on sales up 17%, to $1.36 billion.
