Hovione’s Revenues Rise 11%

Active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturer Hovione (Loures, Portugal) reported sales up 11%, to $103.7 million, for its fiscal year ended March 31. The increase reflects drug approvals by its customers in the innovator as well as generics segments, Hovione says. The company did not report its profits. Hovione says it made significant investments last year in particle design technologies, new production lines, and facility upgrades.
