First-Quarter Profits Rise at Cambrex

Cambrex (East Rutherford, NJ) reported first-quarter net profits up 12%, to $4.7 million compared with the year-ago period, on sales down by nearly 3%, to $60 million. Sales were unfavorably impacted by exchange rates, reflecting a stronger U.S. dollar, Cambrex says.
