Chemical Week Magazine :: Pharmaceuticals & Fine Chemicals FDA Seizes Drugs Manufactured by Caraco in Michigan8:22 AM MDT | July 10, 2009 | Deepti Ramesh U.S. Marshals, at the FDA’s request, have seized drug products manufactured by Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories (Detroit), a subsidiary of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (Mumbai), at Caraco’s facilities at Detroit, Farmington Hills, and Wixom, MI. The seizure follows Caraco’s continued failure to meet FDA’s current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) requirements, FDA says. Pharmaceutical ingredients held at the facilities were also seized.
