Dishman Expects $3-Billion Investment at india SEZ

Dishman Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals (Ahmedabad, India), a producer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), intermediates, and fine chemicals, will start marketing its previously announced 390-acre pharmaceutical and chemical special economic zone (SEZ) at Bavla, India, by January 2010. The company expects an investment of about $3 billion in the SEZ in the next three years, including a manufacturing plant to be built by Dishman, the company told CW at the CPhI expo, held recently in Madrid.
