Cerep Sells Businesses

Pharma fine chemicals group Cerep (Paris) says it plans to divest its two business units located at Villebon, France, which offer chemistry service activities to pharma companies, and research activities related to drug discovery. The divestments are designed to “rapidly bring Cerep back to profitability,” the company says. Cerep expects its chemistry service activities to post losses of €3.5 million ($4.6 million) for 2006, on sales down 55% to €2.8 million.
