Australia, U.K. Authorities Okay Ranbaxy’s Indian Plant

Ranbaxy Laboratories (Gurgaon, India) says that the U.K.’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA; London) and Australia’s drug regulatory body Therapeutic Goods Administration (Canberra) have issued GMP certificates for Ranbaxy’s Paonta Sahib, India facility, following a joint audit conducted last October. MHRA’s approval will cover U.K. product filings and also apply to product filings for the entire European Union, Ranbaxy says.
