Chemical Week Magazine :: Pharmaceuticals & Fine Chemicals Actavis to Build Three Plants in India; Opens Laboratories11:29 AM MST | November 10, 2008 | Deepti Ramesh Generics pharmaceutical manufacturer Actavis (Hafnarfjordur, Iceland) says it is building three pharmaceutical plants in India. Actavis recently broke ground on a pilot plant and an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) plant at the company’s existing API facility at Alathur, in southern India. The company says it has also begun construction of a solid oral dosage (SOD) plant at its existing SOD site at Alathur. Investment amounts were not disclosed.
