Socma Asks EPA to Retain Toxics Advisory Panel

Socma says EPA should retain the National Pollution Prevention Toxics Advisory Committee (NPPTAC), saying the resignation of several panel members should not force closure of the panel. NPPTAC had been considering how to improve implementation of the Toxics Substances Control Act (TSCA). However, EPA has canceled the NPPTAC meeting slated for next month, raising concerns that it plans to disband the committee.
