Roquette and Evolva Sign Joint Development Deal for Food Ingredient

Synthetic biology firm Evolva (Reinach, Switzerland) says it has partnered with Roquette Frères (Lestrem, France) to develop a biosynthetic route to an undisclosed ingredient “with important applications in food products.” The joint research and development effort will run for four and a half years and include the application of Evolva’s technology to improve fermentation routes, strain improvement, and pilot scale-up.
