Gharda Develops Three High-Temperature Polymers

Gharda Chemicals (Mumbai) is to commercialize three ultra-high-performance, high-temperature polymers, CW has learned. Prakash Trivedi, head of polymers at Gharda Chemicals, speaking to CW on the sidelines of the PlastIndia exhibition and conference, held recently in New Delhi, said the company has already patented one of the products, polyether ketone (PEK), and that it has applied for process patents for polyether ketone ketone (PEKK) and polybenzimidazole (PBI), which he calls “our most exciting product.” Gharda divested its polymers business...
