Fragrances Lift Givaudan

Givaudan reported full-year 2006 net income up 1%, to SF412 million ($332 million), on sales up 5%, to SF2.9 billion. Operating income before charges, gains, and other special items rose 3%, to SF550 million. The fragrance division recorded sales up 8%, to SF1.2 billion because of strong performance in fine fragrances, which grew at a double-digit rate, as well as consumer products and specialty ingredients.
