Brussels Moves to Force Open EU Energy Markets

The European Commission has launched legal charges against 16 European Union (EU) member states for failing to liberalize their national energy markets in accordance with an EU directive, and raided the offices of four leading German electricity companies as part of a probe into suspected anticompetitive practices.
