Braskem Completes Sunoco Polypropylene Purchase

Braskem (São Paulo) says it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Sunoco Chemicals’ polypropylene (PP) business for about $350 million, following the approval of the transaction by U.S. regulatory officials. The acquisition is part of Braskem’s strategy to establish an industrial base in the U.S. that will function as an important platform for the future expansion of its international business.
