US court rejects HCFC appeal by DuPont, Honeywell

The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia has rejected an appeal by Honeywell International and DuPont, which sought to overturn a prior ruling regarding certain hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) allowances allocated by EPA to competitors Arkema and Solvay. The dispute involves baseline allowances under a cap-and-trade program EPA created as part of its efforts to reduce HCFC production and consumption.
