Thai Government to Resume Approvals for Map Ta Phut Projects

The Thai government says it has resumed the approval process for petrochemical projects planned by PTT Chemical and Siam Cement worth a combined baht300 billion ($8.6 billion) at Map Ta Phut, Thailand. The Ministry of Industry (Bangkok) halted approvals earlier this year after high levels of air pollution were found at Map Ta Phut.
