Synthos NdPBR project

Synthos (Oswiecim, Poland) has announced plans to invest about $170 million in a new synthetic rubber plant at Triunfo, Brazil. The plant will produce neodymium catalyzed polybutadiene (NdPBR) rubber, based on technology licensed from the French tire maker Michelin, and use raw materials supplied by Braskem. The agreement with Braskem was signed in 2013, Synthos says.The plant will be designed to produce 80,000 m.t./year of NdPBR. The plant will be completed in 2016 or...
