Solazyme and Roquette FrĂ¨res dissolve JV

Renewable oils firm Solazyme (San Francisco) announced on 24 June that its microalgae-derived food ingredients joint venture with Roquette FrĂ¨res (Lestram, France), Solazyme Roquette Nutritionals, will be dissolved over â€śdivergent views on an acceptable commercial strategy and timeline for the manufacturing and marketing of joint venture products.â€ť Solazyme and Roquette FrĂ¨res formed the 50-50 jv in late 2010 to commercialize microalgae-derived lipid products.
