Chemical Week Magazine :: Newsbriefs Samsung Total Starts PP Line9:39 AM MDT | October 22, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Total Petrochemicals has started up a 300,000-m.t./year polypropylene (PP) line at its Samsung Total Petrochemicals joint venture at Daesan, Korea. PP capacity has risen to 554,000 m.t./year following the start-up. The jv, a 50-50 partnership between Total and the Samsung group, also expanded capacity of its naphtha cracker recently from 600,000 m.t./year, to 820,000 m.t./year of ethylene.
