SQM Reports Second Quarter Net Income Up 31%

Sociedad Química y Minera (SQM; Santiago, Chile) reported second quarter 2012 net income up 31% from the year-ago quarter, to $192.2 million, due in part to volumes deferred from the first quarter 2012. Sales increased 19%, to $683.3 million.
