Report: Dow puts Angus Chemical, AgroFresh on sale

Dow Chemical has started divesting two of its specialty chemicals subsidiaries, Angus Chemical (Buffalo Grove, IL) and AgroFresh (Philadelphia), according to a Reuters report citing “people familiar with the matter.” Dow declines to comment. The process forms part of Dow’s previously announced plan to divest noncore assets by 2015. Reuters has hired investment bankers, including Morgan Stanley, to sell the two subsidiaries.
