Rentech acquisition

Rentech says its subsidiary Rentech Nitrogen has signed an agreement to acquire Agrifos Holdings (Pasadena, TX), for $158 million. Agrifos primarily produces ammonium sulfate fertilizer and owns and operates a plant at Pasadena, TX. The deal is expected to close by 8 November. Rentech Nitrogen will distribute the cash per unit to its unit holders beginning in 2013. It currently operates a plant in Illinois.
