Private equity firm American Securities buys Emerald

American Securities (New York), a private equity firm, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Emerald Performance Materials (Cuyahoga Falls, OH) from Sun Capital Partners. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter and is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
