Praxair starts up ASU

Praxairâ€™s Brazilian-based subsidiary White Martins has started up an 800 m.t./day air separation unit (ASU) for oxygen, nitrogen, and argon at Minas Gerais, Brazil. The plant will supply industrial gases to ArcelorMittal (Luxembourg), a steel and mining company. The company says it is a two-part unitâ€”one for customers and one for merchants.
