Praxair starts India ASU

Praxair says it has started up the first of two previously announced 1,250-m.t./day air separation units at Steel Authority of India Ltd.’s (SAIL; New Delhi) Bhilai, India, facility. The plant will supply gaseous oxygen, nitrogen, and argon under a long-term contract to support SAIL’s expansion activities, Praxair says. The Bhilai facility will also produce liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon to further support growing industrial and medical gases needs in the Indian states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and parts of Maharashtra, Praxair...
