Perstorp to Buy Solvay’s Caprolactone Business

Dankis: Upstream integration sought. Perstorp says it has agreed to buy Solvay’s caprolactone business for €200 million ($285 million). The business reported sales of €60 million last year and employs 65, Solvay says. The deal includes a manufacturing plant at Warrington, U.K. Solvay says the caprolactone business “does not result in synergies” with the company’s other chemicals and plastics operations.
