Oxea Boosts Oxo Alcohols in Texas

Oxea (Oberhausen, Germany) says it will boost production capacity of propionaldehyde and n-propanol by 10% at its Bay City, TX facility. The investment amount was not disclosed, but a company representative said it was a “low-capital capacity increase.” The company’s goals are to further expand into high-growth markets, such as Asia, Latin America, the Mideast, and South America, and “optimize its value chain and product portfolio.” The company announced last month that it would increase its capacity for carboxylic acids and...
