Oltchim privatization plans delayed until late March

The privatization of insolvent chemicals and petrochemicals producer Oltchim (Râmnicu Vâlcea, Romania) has been delayed by almost two months, the company says. The deadline for the submission of binding offers to acquire Oltchim SPV—a special-purpose vehicle containing the core assets of Oltchim—was put back from 31 January to 28 March. Oltchim’s creditors approved the delay at a recent meeting with the company’s administrators. Investors interested in acquiring Oltchim had requested the delay, the company says.
