OCI to build 1.75-million m.t. methanol plant at Beaumont

OCI (Geleen, Netherlands) plans to build a greenfield 1.75 million-m.t./year methanol plant at Beaumont, TX, through Natgasoline, a wholly owned subsidiary. OCI, which made the announcement on 21 November, says the methanol plant will be the largest in the United States. Natgasoline filed for environmental permits in February.
