North America restricting Syngenta’s growth

Syngenta’s net income including restructuring and impairment slipped 1%, to $1.4 billion, in the first six months of this year on sales up 1%, to $8.5 billion. Earnings per share, excluding restructuring and impairment, were 2% lower, at $15.60. A late start to the North American season reduced crop protection use, but the company says it grew strongly in all other regions, with price increases across the business. Ebitda was 3% lower in reported terms but increased by 6% at constant exchange...
