Momentive expands in Texas, links with Kanoria

Momentive Specialty Chemicals (MSC) says it is expanding its triazine plant at Diboll, TX, to add new reactors and blend tanks. The expansions will double the plant’s production, MSC says. The expansion will be completed in two phases, with the final phase wrapping up in fall 2014. Triazine is used in hydrogen sulfide scavenging in oilfield applications, MSC says. Separately, MSC and Kanoria Chemicals & Industries (New Delhi, India) have signed a nonbinding memorandum of understanding with MSC to form a joint venture to produce and sell specialty phenolic...
