Mitsui, Idemitsu to Rationalize Chiba Complex

Mitsui Chemicals says it plans to restructure its petrochemical operations at Chiba, Japan â€śto flexibly and effectively manageâ€ť the companyâ€™s existing partnership with Idemitsu Kosan. The companies formed a 50-50 alliance in 2010 by combining Mitsuiâ€™s 553,000-m.t./year steam cracker at Chiba with Idemitsuâ€™s 374,000-m.t./year Chiba cracker.
