Mitsubishi Delays Polycarbonate Plant Startup in Japan

Mitsubishi Chemical says it has indefinitely postponed starting up a 60,000-m.t./year polycarbonate (PC) plant at Kurosaki, Japan, due to “severely deteriorating” profitability in the PC market. The facility was completed last March and startup had been originally slated for last month.
