Lyondell and Sinopec to Build POSM Unit in Ningbo, China

Lyondell Chemical and Sinopec say they have received final government approval to build a world-scale propylene oxide/styrene monomer (POSM) manufacturing facility in Ningbo, China. Lyondell will contribute its POSM technology and overall operating and technical experience in exchange for a share of the propylene oxide (PO) profitability from the plant.
