Lanxess buys in France

Lanxess has acquired the French subsidiary of the insolvent Thermphos (Vlissingen, Netherlands). The deal covers the production assets and customer list of Thermphos’s site at Epierre, France, a leading producer of phosphorus pentoxide and polyphosphoric acid. Each product complements Lanxess’s existing phosphorus chemicals portfolio. The products are used as chemical intermediates, including for flame retardants and pharmaceuticals.
