Lanxess buys in France

Lanxess has acquired the French subsidiary of the insolvent Thermphos (Vlissingen, Netherlands). The deal covers the production assets and customer list of Thermphosâ€™s site at Epierre, France, a leading producer of phosphorus pentoxide and polyphosphoric acid. Each product complements Lanxessâ€™s existing phosphorus chemicals portfolio. The products are used as chemical intermediates, including for flame retardants and pharmaceuticals.
