Kemira to cut 152 jobs in Finland, fewer than expected

Kemira says that negotiations on workforce reductions in Finland under the company’s Fit for Growth restructuring program, announced in July 2012, have concluded with an agreement that Kemira’s head count in the country will decrease by 152—compared with an initially estimated 260 job cuts. The job losses will be across Kemira’s sites at Helsinki, Espoo, Oulu, Sastamala, Kuusankoski, Joutseno, Vaasa, and Harjavalta, and the measures will be implemented by the end of October, the company says.
