Kemira forms wax JV

Kemira and Wilmar International (Singapore) say they have signed a joint venture agreement to manufacture alkylketene dimer (AKD) wax in China. The jv entities in China will be owned 50-50 and will integrate the existing facilities of Kemira at Yanzhou and the relevant Wilmar facilities at Lianyungang. Kemira says it is a major player in AKD wax, a sizing agent that is supplied mainly to the paper industry.
