Kemira Completes Second Phase of Cytec Unit Acquisition

Kemira says it has acquired Cytec Industries’ Botlek, the Netherlands water treatment chemical plant for €16 million ($21 million). Kemira has agreed to supply Cytec with certain products that are manufactured at Botlek. The acquisition is in the second phase of a three-phase agreement between the companies, under which Kemira acquires Cytec’s global water treatment and acrylamide business.
