Chemical Week Magazine :: Newsbriefs KBR Ethylene Award8:11 AM MDT | July 20, 2012 KBR will provide its technology as well as engineering, procurement, and construction support services for a previously announced ethylene plant planned by Uz-Kor Gas Chemical (Tashkent), a joint venture between state-owned Uzbekneftegaz and a consortium of Korean companies comprising Honam Petrochemical, Korea Gas Corp., and STX Energy. It will be built at Ustyurt, Uzbekistan. The plant will use flexible feed to produce 400,000 m.t./year of ethylene. The total cost, including downstream polyolefin plants, is about $4 billion.
