K+S Starts Construction at Potash Site in Canada

K+S (Kassel, Germany) says construction work on the company’s previously announced “Legacy” project at a potash site in the south of Saskatchewan has begun. Preparatory works to establish infrastructure, and the first stage of extraction operations—which have been underway since 2011—are almost complete, the company says. K+S will invest C$3.25 billion ($3.16 billion) in the first two phases of the project.
