Chemical Week Magazine :: Newsbriefs Iraq Officials in Talks with U.S. Energy and Chemical Companies9:36 AM MDT | July 27, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Chevron and ExxonMobil are discussing plans with Iraqi officials regarding the possible construction of a $3-billion petrochemical facility by one of the firms, according to a recent report in Business Week. ExxonMobil says that it “has met with Iraqi officials in Washington, D.C. at the request of the Department of Energy,” but it did not provide further details.
