Ineos to spin off chlor-vinyls into a joint venture

CW has learned that Ineos is at an advanced stage of discussions with an undisclosed company to transfer Ineos’s Kerling chlor-vinyls business into a joint venture that would become one of the leading chlor-vinyl players worldwide. Kerling hopes to announce the name of its proposed partner and the terms of the transaction within a few weeks. Kerling is Europe’s largest producer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), with a 29% share of the market.
