Ineos to build world-scale alpha-olefins plant in the US, expand in Canada

Ineos has announced plans to build a world-scale linear alpha-olefins (LAO) plant on the US Gulf Coast. The unit will have initial capacity for 350,000 m.t./year with a built-in design to expand capacity by 50%, to 500,000 m.t./year. “We have been working on this project for the past year, and it is now ready to scale up for a new phase of activity,” says Bob Learman, CEO of Ineos Oligomers.
