Huntsman disruption

An equipment failure on 14 August will disrupt production at Huntsman’s Port Neches, TX, facility for two to three weeks, the company says. Huntsman makes methyl-tert butyl ether, propylene oxide (PO), and propylene glycol at the facility. Huntsman says the disruption will also reduce the internal supply of PO to downstream methylene di-para-phenylene isocyanate systems, amines, surfactants, and PO derivatives.
