Chemical Week Magazine :: Newsbriefs Honeywell Patent Violated1:52 PM MDT | July 30, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Honeywell says that customs authorities in Taranto, Italy seized 21 containers of air conditioning equipment charged with R-410A, Honeywell’s patented refrigerant made of difluoromethane and pentafluoromethane. Use of R-410A in the confiscated equipment, shipped to Italy from a Chinese manufacturer, violates Honeywell’s patent, as it was not licensed from a certified vendor, Honeywell says.
