Fluor Secures Contract

Dow Chemical confirms it has selected Fluor for an engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) contract for a planned propylene unit at Freeport, TX. The project is slated to be completed in 2015, and Fluor recently completed the front-end engineering and design (FEED) on the project. “The U.S. is experiencing a significant rebound in the petrochemical sector due to the attractive price of shale gas, and we look forward to helping our longtime customer Dow realize this important project,” says Peter Oosterveer, president of Fluor’s energy...
