Evonik Industries has started up a previously announced, integrated complex for isophorone and isophorone diamine at the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, at Caojing, China. The cost of the project exceeded â‚¬100 million ($135 million). The facilities have a total production capacity of 50,000 m.t./year. The new plants will supply the coatings and paint, construction, adhesives, and composite industries in Asia. Evonik also makes products based on isophorone at Marl and Herne, Germany; and Mobile...
